Laura McKaughan
Owner & Founder Laura is an environmental consultant with over 15 years experience in planning and implementing zero waste projects. She has provided technical assistance on scores of projects for local government, private industry and non-profits alike in recycling and organics program participation, waste diversion and source reduction opportunities. She and has delivered hundreds of hours of education in zero waste to schools, businesses and nonprofits.

Juliana Gerber
Zero Waste Consultant Juliana joined Envirolutions in 2015 with 20+ years of administrative experience and 10+ years in the resource recovery field. She assists with projects such as commercial and residential zero waste outreach, technical assistance, and waste characterizations. Juliana also trains volunteers for multi-family organics participation and assists with technical assistance for waste audits and reporting.

Refugio "Ref" Sanchez
Zero Waste Consultant Ref Sanchez joined Envirolutions in 2022 and has assisted on projects including bilingual commercial and multifamily technical assistance, community outreach and engagement, waste characterizations, and lid flips as a part of SB 1383 compliance. In addition to being a consultant, Ref has a strong love of music and served as Advertising Manager at Stringletter Publishing, a media company for musicians and music lovers, for many years. Prior to this, Ref worked with local, state, and federal agencies to implement successful multicultural media campaigns ranging from polling place locations, color-coded recycling and organics cart rollout in San Francisco, Earth Day awareness campaigns, HIV testing and prevention, and more.

Marria Evbuoma
Zero Waste Consultant Marria is a zero waste and community educator who has worked with Envirolutions since 2019. She assists with technical assistance, waste characterizations,
SB 1383 compliance, and community engagement projects. She advocates for accessibility and equity zero waste implementation and was formerly appointed to the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission’s Citizen Advisory Commission (SFPUC-CAC) serving on the wastewater subcommittee. In 2022, Marria founded Rotation Community Services which focuses on event greening, low waste party planning, zero waste facilitation & SB 1383 guidance, and community outreach. |
Kathy Hutton
Zero Waste Consultant Kathy joined Envirolutions in 2022 to help
with zero waste outreach and provide technical assistance for commercial waste generators. She has managed city-wide recycling collection programs, headed a non-profit environmental organization, and served as a city Sustainability Commissioner overseeing zero waste activities and implementation of a single-use plastics ban. Kathy also led source reduction initiatives while working for large and small companies throughout her career. |
